I, Sir Thirlan, Knight Bachelor, pledge my skills and services to His Majesty, King Manus. And thus by accepting the position of Lord Treasurer of Hyperion, will seek to administer the Kingdom's finances with neither err nor bias. In the event that I am found lacking, I shall promptly vacate the position at His Majesty's behest.
